Also Available on iTunes

Episode Summary

Ursula Nordstrom was editor to Maurice Sendak, the author of several classic children's picture books, including Where The Wild Things Are and In The Night Kitchen. One day in 1972, Nordstrom wrote a letter to a librarian who had burnt her library's copy of In the Night Kitchen, owing to the child protagonist being naked in the book. In today's Tea Reads episode, Sophie and I discuss Nordstrom's letter and the issue of censorship.

Listen to hear our thoughts on censorship of children's books.
